I woke up tired - was typing a letter to G. M. about my bedspread & Mom came out. Men all had to go to Grinnell to all day meeting so Mom, Bette, Nellie & I went uptown shopping. We went to shoe sale at Graham's. Bought a pair for Jill for 98¢. Saw the Miss Jasper Co. parade at noon, then we bought stuff & went to park for a picnic. We went to shopping center & came home. We saw Bette's sewing. She's doing real well. Ron went out for a while. He came home about 8:30 then I went to club at Martha's. Had a good time. We played jackass. They also had a purse game. Took nightgown for my secret pal's anniversary. Got sewing book & cassarole book from Irene. She was through work today.
